Whoa! This is hard work! This motherhood thing makes a busy day in the ER look like a walk in the park! If you know me at all, you know that I am a little bit of a control freak. I like for things to work on a schedule, and to know what is coming next. Well, if you have ever had a newborn, you know it doesn't really work that way. You also know that I am a worrier. I mean, to a total fault. Thanks to my daddy for that trait, along with the high blood pressure that goes along with it. Well, anyways, this little thing takes worrying to a WHOLE new level.
Adelyn's First Bath
Is she eating enough, is she eating too much? Is she sleeping enough, is she sleeping too much? Is she still breathing? Why is she crying? Is she peeing enough? Is she pooping enough? Is she pooping too much? It is overwhelming I tell you. I asked my mama the other night how old she has to get before I stop worrying about her. Her answer... "I will let you know". Ugh!
Anyways, we are getting adjusted. Learning the ins and outs. I will be glad when I can take her out. I have been cooped up in this house long enough. Mama is going to keep her for a couple of hours tonight so I can go out to dinner with my husband and sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Excited about that!
She is a super sweet baby! She sleeps well at night. She is happy most of the time. Unless she is hungry, tired or having her clothes changed. :) Here are some more pictures of her...for you who want to see her cuteness!

It is hard at first and you will always worry about her in one way or another, but I really do think it gets easier. You do get adjusted to this little person being in your life and taking your emotions through the wringer at times. I know you're a great mama! I'm so glad we got to see you and peek at her last weekend. She sure is precious!! Hopefully it won't be so long before we see y'all again!
What a shame she doesn't like having her clothes changed. She has so many nice outfits:) Things will get better but your mom is right, you never stop worrying about them...even when they are your niece and not your daughter. She's beautiful and I can't wait to hold her. Love you.
I love the new pictures!! I just asked Zach last night if he had heard from you!! We assumed you were busy and no news (or pictures :) ) was good news!!!
They are resilient, but they don't bounce so hold on to her.
I'm available if you need any more advice. ;)
You will survive and be very successful. It's amazing how you can love someone as much as you can your child. Enjoy every minute because I promise....they fly by so quickly. You have a special gift from God and he knew you would handle his angel with love.
